Project: Culture Mix

In October 2023, Wollongong Council, in partnership with a variety of amazing local organisations and businesses, orchestrated a grand multicultural event called “Culture Mix” in the heart of Wollongong. The event involved an incredible array of activities, including workshops, performances, exhibitions, demonstrations, and a diverse range of market and food stalls, all celebrating different cultures from the local community and beyond. I extended my support by volunteering my photography services and had the privilege of capturing the joy and celebration of the first ever Culture Mix Festival. These photos were for use by the council to document the event and to promote Wollongong’s flourishing and diverse cultural environment.
